Beauty
Small gems that form a mosaic of elusive beauty.
The National Park of Abruzzi, Lazio and Molise.
Hiking in the most ancient naturalistic oasis of Italy.
Valle di Comino is a reserve of treasures, traditions and unspoiled nature in the southern border of Lazio. Twelve small towns lying on the hills, among woods and cultivated fields, turquoise colored water, gorges and lakes, wrapped by the massive peaks of Mount Meta and Mount Mainarde. Most of this territory is part of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, whose foundation is linked to the history of the Visocchi family.
The Park is an oasis of biodiversity that offers itself to various outdoor experiences: from easy hiking to ski, from kayaking to scuba diving. You will love the multitude of paths through beeches and coniferous forests, you will relax listening to the sounds of nature. Some of the most fascinating protected species of the Apennines find shelter here, like the brown Marsicano bear, wolves, the chamois and the Golden Eagle, more than 2000 species of higher plants, some of which are very rare, like the Iris and the Black Pine.
Enjoy the fragrance of nature, a pic-nic, the sun on your skin, a dive where the sky is reflected.
Let your sight be free to cross a universe of life that nature has shaped.
Breath, reflection and rest, movement and well-being will accompany every step towards your destination.
